About Her Initiative

Who We Are

Her Initiative is a young women led nonprofit organisation in Tanzania working to break cycles of poverty by enabling adolescent girls and young women to learn, earn, and lead with confidence.

Why We exist?

Economic exclusion, patriarchal norms, and systemic injustice continue to deny young women access to skills, capital, and decision making power. Without intentional pathways to income and agency, poverty and vulnerability persist across generations.

Vision

A Tanzania where young women earn sustainable income and lead with confidence.

Mission

We provide entrepreneurship and digital skills platforms to young women and support youth led organizations to replicate and scale our approach.
