July marked a significant milestone for youth entrepreneurship in the Iringa Region, as over 200 participants from Kilolo, Mafinga, and Iringa Municipal graduated from the Digital Business Program. The initiative was designed to equip existing entrepreneurs with the tools and knowledge needed to transition from traditional business practices to digital platforms, expanding their reach and improving operational efficiency.
The graduation event brought together young business owners who have spent recent weeks building on their existing enterprises, learning to leverage digital tools for marketing, financial management, and customer engagement. Rather than starting from scratch, participants focused on strengthening businesses they had already established, positioning themselves to compete in an increasingly digital economy.
A central component of the program was direct engagement with financial and institutional partners. Representatives from CRDB Bank and the Community Development Office joined the event to walk participants through the range of financial products and support structures available to them, including access to credit, savings mechanisms, and business development resources.
